1979 Ford Pinto Wagon (Not at all the best looking year with the corporate square front), 2.3 Lima 4 cylinder, 4 speed manual (probably a Hummer) transmission, I would have to look in my books which are at home to determine what axle it has in it, 77,083 miles, "Rust Free", Oakdale, Minnesota, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
The earlier round gauges look better, but these aren't too bad. Also note the lack of a tach, my dad's didn't have a tach either until he put an aftermarket one in, not a really hard job.
Same blue on blue vinyl interior that mine had, and no, those seats don't recline, they just flip forward.
Needs a new carpet. The sill plates aren't corroded, that's rare.
Cargo space for days.
I love the back seats in these, it makes it a proper 2+2

Why does this look so cozy? I just want to lay down in there and stare at the ceiling for hours.

This wagon looks great. I love the FM converter attached to the dash.
I had a '77 hatchback. I delivered furniture and carpets with it and made some extra pocket change in the early '80s.

I think I've actually met the owner of this car. we lives in New York, and part time in Minnesota. Really great guy. When I was selling cars he was trying to buy a new 2500 pick up but wanted manual trans and gas V8 which is basically impossible.
also driving a manual trans car w/o a tach must be weird. My dad's old 86 Ram didn't have one and It always confused me.

You drive by ear, just like a bike.

I don't know about you, but I hardly look at the taco meter anyway.

This would be a good candidate for a turbo 2.3L/Tremec T5 swap. MEGA sleeper!

I guess I don't really use it much any more. I just like looking at it sometimes lol
